Valentines Day Special #7
Brendan and Bec
How long have you been together?
Brendan- 5 Years (Wow looks
crazy written down)
Bec- Five years and all the better for it
How did you meet?
We met through mutual friends, and since it was 2007 we
actually flirted on myspace and met up at health club for our first 'date'.
Through friends and then we hooked up on a trashy weekend.
Typical Sydney romance.
Partners most annoying Habit?
Falling asleep on the couch halfway through a movie
Faffing! It takes forever to leave the house
Partners most endearing habit?
Covering our house in indoor plants and never looking after
them (our house is a plant cemetery)
Addiction. Brendy has an addictive personality. Currently he
is addicted to pin-ball. He plays non-stop.
Bec wears a lot of my T-shirts around the house and especially to bed.
Brendy uses my hair products but not really my clothes.
What is your favourite item of clothing that your partner wears?
So many! But probably her blue and red summer dress.
His lucky cap- it has pictures of tropical plants on it.
If your partner was a fictional character, who would they be, and
why?
Daria. Dry, critical at times but always funny and cool. I think
i might be Kevin sometimes :(
Peter Pan. He will always be a boy that never wants to grow
up.
Where is your favourite place to go together?
Than Huan in Marrickville or Albees in Campsee.
A good garage sale. We both share a passion for the used and
abused
If you got lost on an overseas holiday and it was neither one's
fault, who would still get blamed?
Because Bec can't drive she get's map duties, and also gets
blamed for getting us lost.
Probably me. I have gotten us lost so many times that I
might as well cop the blame again
What is your partners weirdest eating habit?
I have so many, but Bec is mostly fine. She loves Mac and
Cheese from a packet whenever she's hungover- Easy -Mac!
Raw vegetables on toast, especially weird ones like snow
peas or corn
What does 2012 bring?
We are writing an album together as the Knits, So planning
on finishing that this year And road tripping across America in June.
Brendan and I will be going on a food safari to the U.S.A
this year. Yum.

Valentines Special #2
Em and Rich.
How long have you been together?
Em: For ages!
Rich: Since the dawn of time.
How did you meet?
We first met about 10 years ago in Sydney, through a
mutual friend. Then a good few years later the same mutual friend put Rich in
contact with me in London and we met up for a little beer.. Our love is her
fault.
We first kissed at the Black Gardenia, a tiny
basement bar in Soho that has since been destroyed much to our disappointment.
Partners most annoying Habit?
Listening to Tonetta.
Watching Eastenders.
Partners most endearing habit?
Not really a habit I know, but he always makes me
feel like the most loved person in the world.
She never thinks of herself first.
Do you share eachothers clothes? If so, what?
I sleep in his underwear when he's away on tour.
I wear her underwear every day. It makes me feel
sexy.
What is your favourite item of clothing that your partner
wears?
it would have to be a soft scruffy black scarf (that
I've since inherited) - it reminds me of our first of many trips to Paris. I
think he bought it for a euro In Italy!
I think it's probably one of the dresses I've
bought her before. A dark blue one I got from Whistles. It's an intimidating
experience walking into one of those shops as a male. And you either walk out
feeling like some sort of James Bond, or a dirty old man. Luckily she's always
been pleased, so I haven't had a clothes
buying fail.
If your partner was a fictional character, who would they
be, and why?
Which fictional character has the best hair ever?
Whoever it is, that would be Rich. Because he has the best hair ever. He would terrorise the enemy with his
beautiful barnet.
I'm not sure. She's too unique to be compared.
Where is your favourite place to go together?
In London my
favorite place is the New River Walk near our home, in Islington. I remember
the day we discovered it - I felt like an excited child entering The Secret
Garden. In Sydney it will have to be
Gordons Bay, sucking on a frosty fruit.
I agree.
If you got lost on an overseas holiday and it was neither
one's fault, who would still get blamed?
Richard. Because he's always in charge of the maps.
Yes it would be me. But I'm sure Em wouldn't mind
in the end though.
What is your partners weirdest eating habit?
He doesn't understand jacket potatoes.
A heated potato with baked beans on top is not a
meal.
What does 2012 bring?
A new home in London and a well deserved long break
back in our other home, Sydney.
Yes, moving into a new home in London, and getting
down to Sydney for summer.

Valentine's Special #1
We can all agree that Valentines Day is ultimately pretty cheesy, although who doesn't enjoy a good love story?
We thought it was a great excuse to ask some lovely couples to tell us about their love, what drives them crazy, and what makes them tick.
Each day up until Valentines Day we'll introduce you to a different couple, who will answer a series of questions about each other and share with us their story...
Mel & Polo.

Deadly Ponies 'Hurrichain'
Alfies introduces Deadly Ponies bags and accessories into alfies this season!.
All designed and handcrafted in New Zealand, these bags are beautifully made, all soft and drapey, crafted entirely out of eco-friendly natural sustainable materials, practical (in the best sense) and oh so handsome!
My best friend wears hers everyday and gets asked CONSTANTLY where she got it from, so y'know, i get to see daily proof that these bags are the shit. They also have names like Mr Dipalopagus, Mr Chain Gang and Mr Billy Messenger, so each bag feels like it's only little character. Aww...
In store soon x
